Ida was raised in St. Louis with her parents and her siblings, Ada and “Baby John”. She moved to Chicago at 18 to begin college and has lived all throughout the city ever since. Ida is a licensed (LCPC) psychotherapist who received her clinical training at Northwestern University (BA) and The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (MA). She currently serves in the nonprofit sector as a trauma therapist and clinical supervisor in Chicago’s Southside. She has worked in the Psychology field since 2012 and has much experience in working with clients who are dealing with trauma, low self-esteem, mood disorders, foster care & adoption issues, and birth to 5 mental health.
Ida was accepted onto Northwestern's Women's Educational Aid Association Board in 2015, where she serves as a Board Member and Mentor to a diverse and resilient group of students throughout their academic career.
Ida lives with her husband Ken and two dogs Rocky and Apollo. She enjoys reading, creating bouquets, roller skating, and hanging out with friends.
